Jeff & Keri Askew
Meet Our Stewards

Jeff and Keri Askew are the dedicated couple leading Camp Layman into its next chapter. Their commitment is rooted in a lifelong passion for the outdoors, a nearly 20-year marriage, and a shared vision for preserving the heritage of this cherished location.
A Lifetime of Adventure
For the Askews, outdoor recreation is not just a hobby — it's a way of life. They have spent decades exploring the natural world, sharing countless experiences that include:
-
Camping and Hiking: Finding tranquility and challenge on the trail.
-
Kayaking: Enjoying the peace and rhythm of the water.
-
Travel: Exploring the natural world throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Their professional lives, now winding down, laid the foundation for this new pursuit. Jeff is recently retired from a dynamic career in high tech marketing, and Keri is in her final years as a corporate executive. They are now fully focused on dedicating their expertise and passion to Camp Layman.
Our Commitment to Camp Layman
The Askews’ decision to take on stewardship of Camp Layman is driven by a deep desire to pass on the joy of the outdoors. Our mission is simple: To honor the long and rich history of Camp Layman while continuing to evolve its offerings to meet the needs of future generations. We are dedicated to bringing the same passion and joy we feel about outdoor recreation to every guest who visits.
As a family with two children and three grandsons, Jeff and Keri hope that Camp Layman will forever be a place that helps instill in their own family — and every family that comes visits the campground — the same deep, lasting connection to nature that they share.
