Booking, Cancellation, & Occupancy
-
Reservation Confirmation: A 40% deposit per cabin is required. Failure to pay by the due date results in automatic cancellation.
-
Refund Eligibility: You must cancel six weeks before arrival for a deposit refund, minus a $25 per-cabin cancellation fee. Cancellations made within six weeks of arrival are not eligible for a deposit refund.
-
Financial Responsibility: Guests who cancel on the day of arrival, shorten their stay, or are "No-shows" are financially responsible for the entire booked period. Deposits for renting the entire camp are non-refundable.
-
Strict Occupancy Limit: For safety and insurance, we strictly enforce the posted maximum guest limit for each cabin. If you exceed this limit, you must either rent an additional cabin (if available) or have the extra person(s) secure lodging elsewhere.
-
No Camping: No Tent or RV Camping is permitted. The camp is for cabin rental guests only, and this rule is strictly enforced due to external restrictions.
-
Air Quality Advisory: Wildfire smoke is common in summer/fall. If Camp Layman is ordered to close due to fire, you will receive a full deposit refund. Otherwise, our standard six-week cancellation policy applies.
Cabin Care & Conduct
-
No Daily Maid Service: Our cabins are "housekeeping cabins," meaning you are responsible for cleaning and taking care of them as you would at home. We will provide replacement towels and linens upon request, especially for guests staying longer than a week.
-
No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside any cabin. Guests who choose to smoke must do so outside.
-
Quiet Time: Out of respect for our neighbors and other guests, please refrain from loud voices and noise after 10 p.m.
-
Campfire Policy:
-
Designated Fire Pit Only: A large group campfire is centrally located and is the only place where a fire is permitted. We provide the firewood and marshmallow sticks.
-
Extinguishing Fires: The last person at the fire each night is responsible for extinguishing it completely using the water hose located 20 feet away.
-
Fire Bans: Campfires may be prohibited by the Forest Service on certain days during the summer and fall due to dangerously dry and/or windy conditions.
-
Child Supervision: no children can be at the camp fire without adult supervision.
-
Pet Policy
-
Fee & Limit: There is a $25 fee per pet for the stay, with a maximum of two friendly pets per cabin. Pit bulls and Rottweilers are not permitted in camp.
-
Supervision: Pets may not be left unattended (in cabins, tied outside, or in vehicles).
-
Restrictions: Pets are not permitted on beds, futons, or in the showers. Do not use cabin bedding or towels for pets.
-
Owner Responsibility: Owners are responsible for their pet's behavior, promptly cleaning up all pet waste, and for any damage caused.
